Divorce is without a doubt one of the most life-changing events that can happen to a person. The financial and emotional impact of divorce can be devastating without sound legal advice to guide you through the process. When the welfare of your children and financial future are at stake, it is understandable that most people are apprehensive. Understanding the law, the divorce process (both legally and emotionally), and having realistic expectations of the outcome is the most important function a family law attorney provides to his or her clients. Equally as important is achieving those goals for the client. Friends and family with good intentions will be quick to give you their own opinions and personal experiences on the process, but rarely are they going to give you good or accurate advice. Each divorce is as different as the individuals that go through it – and sound legal advice is a necessity.
