Robert Lyons has served as a Judge of the Butler County Area 1 Court, Oxford, Ohio since 1999. He is a business law professor at Miami University. Jonathan Fox is a 1984 graduate of Capital University (B.A.) and the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1988. (J.D.) He is admitted to practice in Ohio, Federal District Court and the United States Supreme Court. Prior to entering law school he was a Trooper with the Ohio State Highway Patrol and a police officer for the City of Monroe. He received training in technical accident investigation and reconstruction, ADAP and NHTSA certification in standardized field sobriety test and held a senior operators permit for the BAC Datamaster.
Mr. Fox was an Assistant Prosecutor for Franklin Municipal Court, Butler County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, and Assistant Law Director/Prosecuting Attorney for the City of Hamilton. He has served as an Acting Judge in all three Butler County Area Courts for the past ten years. His twelve years as a law enforcement officer and nineteen years as a practicing attorney provide him with unique experience to represent in all areas of criminal, traffic and DUI/OVI cases.
Lyn has been in the practice of law for over twenty years with an emphasis in divorces and other family-related litigation. He is a 1988 graduate of the University of Houston Law School and is licensed in both Texas and Ohio.
Lyn has extensive experience in both civil and criminal law. His criminal trial experience includes several murder and death penalty cases. He has tried divorce cases in Butler, Hamilton, Warren, Pebble, and Clermont counties.
Lyn and his wife Lisa have six children and live in Butler County.
